Morning Coffee Session – Ice Cream Entrepreneurship

Welcome to get inspired about entrepreneurship! The WiseFood – Resource Wise Food Chains project, is organizing an exciting and delicious morning coffee session with the theme of ice cream entrepreneurship. During the morning, two ice cream entrepreneurs will share their experiences, challenges, and successes. You’ll gain unique insights into what ice cream entrepreneurship requires and the best it has to offer. Additionally, an expert will discuss startup entrepreneurship and its possibilities.

The event is open and free for anyone interested in entrepreneurship, especially students in the food industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship, network with like-minded people, and receive practical tips for realizing your entrepreneurial dreams!

Preliminary program:
9:00 AM: Informal networking over breakfast and ice cream tasting
9:20 AM: Opening of the event and introduction to the WiseFood project by Sini Laikola from the University of Turku
9:30 AM:
-Ice cream entrepreneur stories – Hannamari Nurkkala and Piia Johansson from POPS!
-How to become a startup entrepreneur? – Lauri Koittola, Boost Turku ry
-Launch of the WiseFood project’s entrepreneurship survey
10:30 AM: Event concludes

Registration ends on October 2nd at 9:00 AM. We are collecting registrations for the event to arrange catering. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to cancel your participation. The event can accommodate the first 30 registered participants, and it will be held if we receive at least 10 registrations. Don’t miss this delicious opportunity – come join us, network, and get inspired!

The morning coffee events aim to provide tips for starting your own business, showcase food chain companies’ operations, and facilitate networking between students and industry professionals. Stay tuned for more events in the spring 2025, with schedules to be announced later.
