At the beginning of May, Turku Market Hall invites you to dive into the world of smart food choices. During Wise Food Week, various organizations will present practical ways to save resources and make more sustainable food choices. Throughout the week, you can taste products that reduce food waste, receive concrete tips for everyday life, and share your own insights into more sustainable eating.

- explore research on food, nutrition, and sustainability at the University of Turku
- reflect on the environmental footprint of a hotel breakfast and see how small choices can make a big difference
- take part in Pehmelö tastings
- enjoy refreshing Saaristonpolku tea as an alternative to coffee
- learn about participating in a consumer panel and sign up

Welcome to learn about the brewery’s operations and hear how by‑products from the brewing process can be utilized as part of a sustainable food system.
The event is organized as part of the EU‑co‑funded WiseFood – Resource‑Wise Food Chains project, implemented by the University of Turku, the City of Turku, and Turku Vocational Institute (TAI).
